BY ROAD - From South Africa

The recommended route is via Nelspruit / Komatipoort, Maputo (90 km’s), Xai-Xai (230 km’s), Maxixe (250 km's). . About 230 km's north of Maxixe, in Pambarra, you turn right to Vilanculos (20 km’s). Total distance from Maputo is about 730 km’s.

Once into Vilanculos you drive through until the T junction, than turn right and after about 100 m turn left to the beach and follow the signs to Complexo turistico Josef e Tina. It is about 800 meters from this point to the lodge, only (See the red line on the map).

BY AIR - From South Africa or Maputo

Vilankulo has an international airport, and one can fly direct from Johannesburg International Airport or Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit) to Vilankulo.

There are also limited flights with LAM via Beira or Maputo to Vilankulo.TTA (t/a pelican air Johannesburg) and  SAA Skylink offer schedules flights from Johannesburg and Maputo daily into Vilanculos. It is possible to charter a small aircraft that can fly direct from Johannesburg to Vilanculos
